SKILLBRIDGE: STATE OF HAWAIʻI EXECUTIVE BRANCH DEPTS.
Process for Departments Participating in SkillBridge:
- Identify a position vacancy
- Determine if the position will offer a high probability for state employment to the service member participant upon their separation from military service.
- Designate a Mentoring Site Supervisor. This individual will also serve as the primary point of contact between your department and the SkillBridge Program Coordinator.
- Identify any special requirements for the position, including but not limited to, selective certification requirements, desirable qualifications, and/or special background check requirements.
- Submit the following documents to the State of Hawai’i SkillBridge Coordinator by email at [email protected]
- SkillBridge Request to Participate Form
- Official position description
- Training plan
- Manage SkillBridge Participant
- Create a State of Hawaii email address.
- Monitor and follow training plan, including all mandatory DHRD trainings.
- Communicate regularly with the SkillBridge Coordinator.
- Conclude SkillBridge participant experience
- Complete and submit final evaluation form.
